7 of assignment 1
Fort Huachuca Library, located on an Army installation base in southeastern Arizona, has just recently closed after officials determined that the library did not meet community and Army standards. Sources from the Fort Huachuca Library, the library’s users, primarily soldiers and their families, were clearly left out of the decision process. ALA president Leslie Berger has even expressed her concerns to the military saying that depriving these library users from information, technology, and importantly education at times of war is a horrible idea. The militraries idea is to create partnerships with other businesses to have a municipal partnership.
